At IKAT Cacao, we believe in fostering strong, direct relationships with the farmers who grow our cacao. Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting our partner farmers in Flores, where we handed over essential equipment, including rakes and organic pesticides, to help them take better care of their cacao crops. This event was not just about providing tools but about deepening the trust and friendship that underpins our collaboration.

The smiles and gratitude during our visit were truly heartwarming! Our farmers were extremely grateful and happy to receive the new equipment. Next to other forms of knowledge transfer, it will help improve their farming practices and enhance the output of high-quality organic cacao pods.
This initiative is part of our broader commitment to direct trade and community support, ensuring that our farmers receive fair compensation and support for their efforts. Direct trade eliminates the middlemen, allowing us to pay our farmers higher prices for their cacao beans, thereby improving their livelihoods. It also ensures transparency and traceability, so our customers can trust that our cacao is ethically sourced and of the highest quality.

The event also included a demonstration on how to use the new equipment effectively. The farmers were eager to learn and expressed their appreciation for our continuous support.
These moments of connection and collaboration are at the heart of IKAT Cacao. By working closely with our farmers, we build a foundation of mutual respect and shared goals. This direct trade relationship not only improves the quality of our cacao but also strengthens the bonds within our community.
We look forward to many more such events, where we can support our farmers, celebrate their hard work, and continue to grow together.
